The articles of impeachment shuffle on over to the Senate for the trial. This is a joke but one group of US Senators decided to use it for their advantage. Sorry not their advantage but Israel’s. President Trump has stated that he felt pressure to do the strike on Suleimani from GOP Senators who used impeachment as leverage. Someone is getting something out of impeachment, unfortunately, that someone is Sheldon Adelson.

This might be Trump shrugging off responsibility for it and he does spout many wild things at odds with what he does. If it is true, it is a sick demonstration of the venality of our US Senators. Impeachment just became a new tool for them to use to satisfy the Lobby. These are trumped up, phony charges that should lead to nothing. That Senators felt it useful to hold over the president is horrendous. It demonstrates how nothing matters but the major interests’ desires in DC.

Bolton himself popping his head up to say he would be game to testify was another tell. We wouldn’t be shocked to see that as some code or sign for the Senators to move. Bolton is a figure who promises regime change so performing regime change in America would be one hell of a last score before retirement. He has never stopped his drive to implement regime change in Iran. He cannot as he is well paid for it. Regime change in Iran does not serve America. We can tolerate a mullah led regime just as we tolerate unsavory regimes around the globe at different times. America once had a twin pillars strategy using Iran for middle east stability. Destroying Iran and leaving it unstable on serves Saudi and Israeli interests. That is what Bolton serves; foreign interests not Americans’.

Let us hope this is Trump rambling and not the truth. It would be one more revelation of how awful things have become. The joke was that as Speaker Pelosi had impeachment in hand, it meant she could get whatever she wanted from Trump. That line was wrong. It meant the swing vote could get what it wanted from Trump. There may not be 20 Republicans who would convict Trump on these flimsy charges, but we all know there are 20 Republicans who would put Israel over America.
